The Schweitzer weblog returns, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes! I call it:
Schweitzer Weblog 2: The Legend of Curly's Gold
Ladies and gentlemen! You may be aware that approximately three years ago I created a little website to chronicle a momentous time in history: the events leading up to and following the birth of our first child, Ruby. Schwyzen.net hosted an infrequently updated collection of musings, pictures and videos for the viewing pleasure of friends and family alike -- if they had the password, that is.
Schwyzen.net met an ignominious end. A database corruption on the server side made it unusable, and it would have required hours of tinkering on my part to get it working. The site languished, and so it remained until the domain registration expired a few months back.
(Incidentally, Schwyzen.net now features advertisements for iPods, MP3s and Samsung TVs. Way to go, guys!)
So I've launched another site here at TypePad. For my sanity's sake, I'm leaving all the hosting and software configuration nastiness to the professionals. Unlike Schwyzen.net, this site will not be password-protected; I've decided that the threat of Algerian terrorists using sensitive information gleaned herein to kidnap my family is less than originally anticipated.
Furthermore, this site will be more general purpose in nature. Unlike the previous site, whose sole focus was on darlin' little Ruby, this site will focus on darlin' little Ruby and...er...um...well, I'll leave that for the next post.
